Talent acquisition and development
The talent acquisition and development unit helps university management to implement the Development Plan by creating a comprehensive range of measures for all employees of the University of Vienna. These measures include seminar and training programmes, qualification opportunities for different target groups and individual measures responding to specific needs.
Course database
Education program
The University of Vienna’s staff userID grants access to the new course database where the continuing education seminars offered by the University of Vienna’s individual units are listed (e.g. the Human Resources Development unit, which is part of the Human Resources and Gender Equality unit, the ZID course and the e-learning office). With this ID, you can also register for seminars or cancel registrations.

In cooperation with other units of the University of Vienna, the Human Resources Development unit offers special qualification opportunities for different target groups:
- Qualification opportunities for teaching staff
The Human Resources Development unit has created educational and special training courses for teaching staff in close cooperation with the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) and the Vienna University Computer Center (ZID):

• "Multiple-Choice-Prüfungen entwickeln" (Developing multiple-choice tests) (in German) - Training opportunities for administrative staff working in the area of teaching and learning
The training opportunities developed by the Teaching Affairs and Student Services unit aim to equip University of Vienna administrative staff working in the area of teaching and learning with the best possible qualifications for their tasks. The courses impart theoretical knowledge and include practical exercises about the administrative systems of the University of Vienna. - Additional offers on the intranet (log-in)
Individual measures responding to specific needs
Thanks to the initiative of individuals, organisational units (centres, faculties and service units) and sub-units (departments, offices, project groups, etc.), the Human Resources Development unit also offers a range of individual measures responding to specific needs. Recruiting
Recruiting new employees is a key success factor and image factor for the University. All institutions of the University of Vienna advertising a vacancy have the opportunity to receive counselling and support from the recruiting team of the Human Resources and Development unit. This experienced team is familiar with the university framework and provides support before and - if necessary - during the advertisement and recruitment procedure.
